Dear Baywood Members,
As the days are getting shorter, we would like to update you on our policy for floodlight play this winter, effective this Monday October 9th.
Baywood (Baywood Drive) will provide five courts available to book until 10pm every day of the week for all members.
Baywood East (Wimbledon Drive) will provide for all members four courts available to book until 9pm Monday – Thursday. Friday availability will be until 8pm. Saturday and Sunday availability will be until 5pm.
As with all bookings, courts must be booked through the Court Reserve App to ensure floodlights are available at Baywood and Baywood East. If demand proves to be high at certain times, all operating times will be reviewed. Historical court booking data shows 5 available floodlight courts past 5pm at the weekends will be comfortably meet the demand.
The process of operating the lights at Baywood East requires each member to understand how the lights are operated:
There is no switch at the court area to manually operate the lights.
The switches are operated from behind the “Next Level Baseball” reception desk.
Under no circumstances are Baywood members permitted behind this desk. We would like our members to arrive and request from the Next Level Baseball team for the lights to be turned on for the specific court you have booked. Next Level Baseball is a busy operation, and we ask for your understanding, if their staff are engaged. We appreciate your patience in this regard.
The floodlights are a considerable expense and therefore at Baywood East, we would like to make sure they are turned off when no longer required. If you are the last booking of the day, please could you let the reception team at Next Level Baseball know so they can close the lights for the evening before you depart the facility. A quick glance at the Court Reserve App will let you know if there is a booking to follow you.
Please note all bookings at both Baywood and Baywood East commence at 8am each day out of respect for our neighbours.
