Dear Members,
Baywood Racquet Club would like to welcome Kevin Brandalik as our new Director of Tennis/Head Teaching Professional. Kevin is a 35+ year professional who has directed some of the top clubs on the east coast. He is a High Performance Coach who has coached numerous top juniors, college players and coached on the Women’s Professional Tour (WTA). He has coached high performance players in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Cincinnati and Kentucky.
Along with his wealth of experience. Kevin’s qualifications include:
- USTA High Performance Coach
- USPTA Elite Professional
- Former President of the USPTA/North Carolina
- USPTA North Carolina Pro of the year (twice!)
- USPTA Virgina Pro of the year
- USPTA Ohio Pro of the year
- USPTA Midwest Junior Coach of the year
- Charlotte area pro of the year
Kevin has been a featured speaker at various major events:
- USPTA/North Carolina Annual Workshop
- USPTA/Southern Convention
- USPTA/Midwest Convention
- USPTA/Tennessee Summer Convention
- USPTA/Mid Atlantic Convention
- Ohio State High School Coaches Conference.
Kevin comes to Baywood Racquet Club from Louisville, Kentucky where he has been directing the Elite Program for nationally ranked players at Blairwood Racquet Club, in addition to coaching USTA Adult teams.
In expressing his excitement at bringing his talents to Greenville, Kevin states: “The first thing that drew me to Baywood was the club, itself. It is a beautiful southern family club with uniquely beautiful aesthetics. I also like the vision that the owners have. They want Baywood to be the top club in Eastern North Carolina where everyone is welcome. Lastly, I absolutely love Greenville. It is a great family oriented city, relatively close to the beaches and is at the start of a boom. I want to be a part of that and put my “thumbprint” on the tennis market here.”
In his free time, Kevin enjoys live music, going to the beach and spending time with his three daughters and their families. All three of his daughters were elite junior players that played tennis collegiately.
Kevin will be joining Baywood Racquet Club in January 2025. We will be sending further communications with contact information and some of the exciting ideas Kevin will be introducing for all our members in 2025.
